New patients are recommended to start with no more than 5MG of THC. It’s good practice to wait 90 minutes before increasing your dose, so the full effects of your product are perceived.
Overconsumption can be avoided by starting with a 5MG or less dose of THC. If you would like to raise your dose, do so in 5MG increments every 90 minutes until you find your M.E.D. (Minimum Effective Dose).
Effects can be more intense when consumed on an empty stomach, so it’s always a good idea to eat a non-medicated meal before consuming edibles.
Alcohol increases the concentration of THC in the blood and heightens the intoxicating effects of cannabis. Combining alcohol and cannabis can result in nausea, vomiting, panic, anxiety or paranoia, so always avoid taking them together.
Avoid driving, operating heavy machinery, or other activities which could put you or others in harm’s way.
Cannabis’ effects can be unpredictable, so avoid sharing it with friends, family members, and especially children or pets. For tips on safely storing your products, see our Child Safety and Storage section.
